Discover the world’s number one depigmentation treatment.
Cosmelan Peel is a highly innovative system that gently targets and treats unwanted pigmentation on the face and body. The two-step intensive treatment programme firstly involves the application of a highly potent depigmenting mask in the clinic by a clinician. The mask remains on the skin for 6-10 hours. Once the mask is removed a secondary cream is applied to protect the new skin growth. The second step is an at-home maintenance solution that is applied twice daily to enhance the effects of the mask.
A Cosmelan peel differs from other skin brightening products and chemical peels in its ingredients, which are designed to treat the specific symptoms of melasma, which can occur during hormone changes in the body due to pregnancy or menopause, and hyperpigmentation, which can occur due to sun exposure or genetics. This is safe and non-invasive procedure treats the source of pigment formation to deliver a rapidly clearer, brighter, and more clarified complexion without the use of lasers.
How does it work
Cosmelan is formulated without Hydroquinone or tretinoin. Active ingredients include azelaic acid, kojic acid, arbutin, phytic acid, ascorbic acid. Cosmelan® Depigmentation treatment action mechanism is based on the inhibition of tyrosinase, a basic enzyme in the melanin formation process.
The Cosmelan treatment cream is further enhanced with mineral-sourced titanium dioxide to promote broad-spectrum protection against ultraviolet radiation.
Used as part of a two step clinic and at-home action plan, Cosmelan can work fast and effectively to deliver exciting results even after one procedure.

How is the treatment Performed and what to expect
Prior to the treatment your skin will be cleansed to remove excess oils and dead skin cells. The mask is then applied in the and left on for up to eight to ten hours. Once you are at home, you will remove the Cosmelan peel on your own and then apply the secondary cream daily that is in your Cosmelan take home kit making sure to cleanse the skin before applying your secondary cream. You will continue to apply the cream daily until your skin is healed.
Note The treatment must not be interrupted under any circumstances, during the whole time prescribed. As melanin production is being suppressed, failure to maintain proper use of sunscreen and your support products may allow reactivation of pigment production cycles. Cosmelan Depigmentation is NOT TO BE COMBINED with any other depigmentation treatments.
Planning is vital for this treatment as once the peel mask is applied it remains on your skin for six to ten hours. Most clients prefer to relax at home afterward. The treated area will most likely be red with some possible tenderness over a couple of days following application. This is normal and indicates the peel is working.
Two to three days after treatment, there will be flaking and peeling of yours skin. Once the peeling and flaking has stopped the blemishes that have been treated should be significantly diminished. As your skin continues to heal your skin will continue to gradually improve. By the second week you will notice your skin will have a health glow. You can expect to see optimum results after four or five weeks.
